B & B Top Soil, a family owned and operated business, has been helping things grow in the Triangle for 33 years. Located at 1800 Hamlin Rd. in Durham, they offer compost, bark, top soil, mulch, long needle pine straw, and fill soil for delivery or pick-up. Topsoil is B&B’s biggest seller, and with good reason: B&B developed and patented an all natural method of creating topsoil from aged and decomposed brush that requires no grinding and uses no chemicals or pollutants. Utilizing agricultural and forestry by-products from Winston Salem, Garner and Elm City, B&B keeps hundreds of tons of organic matter out of our landfills and recycles it into a valuable end product.
Pricing (as of Feb 2012):
- Topsoil cost is $15 per yard for 2 yards and up.
- Triple shredded hardwood, playground mulch, and pine mulch are all $23 per yard.
- Dyed brown and dyed red mulches are $30 per yard.
- Compost runs $25 per yard.
- Topsoil and compost can be mixed if requested.
